Becca Anderson is a lover of books, theater, and anything cultural (unlike the Critic). As an English major and writer, she fills her time with reading extensively, and rewarding herself with trips to the stage.
Picking up a book as an author, an English student, an the average reader has its advantages. Becca’s reviews can dig deep into literature and still deliver a review that is accessible by all. The same goes for her reviews in theater, where her opinions are intended to draw in all people into performance art.
Becca will be taking you through literature, guided by her 50 books in a year challenge. Follow along as she samples everything from modern fiction to the classics and from non-fiction to new released.
Her favorite books are “Lord of the Rings,” “Harry Potter,” “Pendergast Series,” “Ragtime,” “The Hobbit,” and “The Great Gatsby.” Her favorite authors: Douglas Preston, Lincoln Child, Dan Brown, E. L. Doctorow, J. R. R. Tolkien, Sir Arthur Conan Doyle, and Jane Austen.
Her favorite theatrical performances include “Ragtime: The Musical,” “The Phantom of the Opera (Webber),” “Love Never Dies (Webber),” and anything by Shakespeare.
