I would agree, Wurlitzer. But I have a feeling that, with how both Tai Lung and Lord Shen both “die” in such a way that we never see it, we might actually have both return in the inevitable third film and we’ll see more of what we’re looking for. But as it is, the characterization for the heroes in the sequel does work extremely well. If you liked the first one, I don’t think you’d need to pass on this one. It’s worth seeing if you’re a fan. (shrugs) Take it or leave it.

To me, Tai Lung was more interesting and sympathetic than was Po in the first film. Plus he was badass.

If this film was about Tai Lung’s redemption, I’d be more interested in it. As it is…pass.

Well……I didn’t say I didn’t like the first one…I just meant that it wasn’t enough to get me super-excited about a sequel. In my experience, sequels always fall flat on thier faces, so I wasn’t expecting much from KFP2. But, I’m interested in checking this one out now.

Well, if you didn’t care for the first one, you probably won’t like this one, either. I like this one as much as I do considering the fact that I loved the first one. But for a person who didn’t like the first… eh… not sure if I would recommend. Still, Gary Oldman IS Gary Oldman. :)

I thought that the first Kung Fu Panda was cute, but nothing more. When I saw that this one was coming out, I kinda just rolled my eyes and smiled to myself; “Oh dear…..another one.” But, after reading your review, I honestly want to see this! You’ve actually gotten me excited! I just adore Gary Oldman, so of course, that’s going to be a plus, but I’m really pumped about this film in general now :) Thanks!
