This was an incredibly beautiful and moving tribute to a man who obviously had a huge impact on your life. I can feel your passion leaping out of the computer screen at me. This is, hands down, the most powerful and emotional post I have seen on your site. This is a wonderful tribute to your hero, and one of which, I truly believe, he would have been very proud.

I saw this film while on vacation. While I thoroughly enjoyed it, I did not think that it was quite as good as the Spider-Man series starring Tobey Mcguire. I thought this was a great film, however, and I loved the look, feel, and pace of it, but I feel that what The Amazing Spider-Man was really missing was Mcguire’s interpretation of the character. Still, that being said, I thought that Garfield did a wonderful job.

Couldn’t have said it any better. I agree with that Tobey was only interesting while in costume, while Garfield was interesting in AND out.

There is no TRULY original story that doesn’t have something or other similar to a film, book, or story previously (unless it’s Charlie Kaufman’s work). But even if these films share a few themes or character arcs, the execution of their stories are vastly different.

Oh, and even though I absolutely loved Black Swan, it is very similar to Perfect Blue, which came out about tens years before Black Swan did.
